STEALING $$ IN CHI TOWN



STREET THIEF, which stunned audiences at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, can be describe in one word DOPE.


STREET THIEF features two filmmakers documenting the daily lives of ordinary career criminals. What they didn't expect was to end up spending a year in the life of Kaspar Carr - a reclusive man whose skills have made him one of Chicago's most prolific and elusive burglars. As the filmmakers delve into this highly successful thief's personal life, Kaspar's true motivation continues to elude them. Ultimately Kaspar draws them into his world in a way they never expected. As viewers watch crimes and break-ins unfold in incredible verité, the suspense of STREET THIEF is greatly compounded by the mystery of whether or not the film is an actual documentary or a fictional feature.
